This policy explains how FAA DPE SERVICES, a trade name of Flightline Helicopters Inc. ("we", "us"), handles information when you use our website, request forms, applicant intake form and status pages, or receive our emails and texts.
Information we collect
- What you give us: your name, contact details (email, mobile number, address), the test or service you need, preferred dates, flight school and instructor, aircraft, and the answers on the intake form.
- Documents you upload: such as a photo ID or passport, pilot and medical certificates, knowledge test reports, logbook pages, endorsements, military or foreign licensing records, and FAA letters.
- Records of your test or appointment: dates, results recorded for the FAA, fees, payments and receipts. We do not receive or store credit card numbers; card payments are handled by Square.
- Text consent: whether you agreed to texts, when, and whether you replied STOP.
- Technical: our forms use an anonymous sign-in so only you can submit your own form. We do not use advertising cookies or sell or share data for advertising.
- Account sign-ins: if you have an account with us (for example a flight school account), each sign-in is recorded with the date and time, the kind of device and browser, and a shortened network address (never the full address), so we can spot a sign-in that is not yours and tell you about it. These records are kept 90 days.
How we use it
Only to schedule and conduct your practical test or appointment, check eligibility, complete your FAA application through IACRA and the FAA Designee Management System, send you the confirmations, reminders, links and receipts you need, keep the records the FAA requires, and answer your questions.
Who we share it with
- The FAA, as the certification process requires.
- Office staff the examiner authorizes, to help with scheduling and paperwork.
- Your flight school or instructor, if they arranged your test: your schedule and which documents are still needed. Test results are shared with the school only if the examiner turns that on for that school.
- Service providers that run the system for us, only to provide their service: Google (Firebase hosting, database, storage and, where used, address lookup), Resend (email), Twilio (text messages) and Square (card payments).
- When required by law.
We never sell personal information. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are excluded from all sharing described above and are not shared with any third parties.
How long we keep it
Uploaded document images are kept only as long as needed for your test and the FAA record, then deleted on a set schedule. You may ask us to delete them sooner. The record of your test or appointment (name, dates and result) is kept as FAA rules require.
How we protect it
Information travels over encrypted (HTTPS) connections and is stored encrypted in an account only the examiner and authorized staff can open. Status links are private and unguessable. If a breach of your personal information occurs, we will notify you as Arizona law requires.
Your choices
- Texts are optional. Reply STOP to any text to stop them.
- Ask to see, correct or delete your information by emailing info@faadpeservices.com.
Children
Our services are for pilot applicants, who must meet FAA age requirements. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
